For me, games are for unwinding
I enjoy turn based, because I'm not rushed, I can proceed when and how I want. Especially if a game has sick battle music, I can enjoy it more clearly and fully than not having to turn the volume way up to drown out all other sound while I'm trying to focus on wtf I'm doing. But I also miss when grinding to being way over leveled and godly equipped was a thing not uncommon too
So I guess "low IQ" in my case, if I had to pick one or the other. But that doesn't bother me, I'm happy with what I like, and only regret my preferences because virtually no single rpg comes even close to catering to even half of my preferences anymore

Most of unusual builds like debuffs or damage over time simply go to trash because devs decided to make bosses immune to all debuffs and damage over time effects.
