I am but I must admit it's losing me more and more as we stray further from what drew me into the game and story in the first place. The ongoing apocalypse aesthetic and style, it was kinda dark and techy.

We've been stuck in flowery golden untouched paradise so long and it seems they've all but abandoned the original narrative they were building up. The New Federation will tell me a lot about where the game and story are headed and whether or not I want to continue.

It has just a little more soul with Rinacita, but this is still one of the things that kills it for me.

The only way to get to know the characters is to read their info in the profile, otherwise you only get the basics of their personality archetype in quests where they're relevant so they always feel soulless. The world around also still feels somehow more dead than Genshin's even though I have no logical explanation for that. Plus the story doesn't even want to try being coherent, it's really just Rover following the latest vagina and finding adventure. The closest thing they came up with recently for an overarching motivation is that Abby is suddenly dying because reasons and we gotta see the Raguna Sentinel to cure him because it somehow has something to do with making echos work (even though Raguna is completely isolated and the Sentinel has been getting raped by the Threnodian for 20 years but somemhow echos still work fine everywhere else)
Also all the events feel like exhausting makework except for Sominoire because it's always either "HARDCORE button mashing HP sponges for hardcore gamers such as myself" or spend 2 hours per run of bullshit 2D movie or cubes. Genshin has done some of the former too lately but at least it doesn't usually overstay its welcome

I gave it a shot a couple weeks ago. Ironically, I got bored before Mt Firament because I heard it gets better after that. I wanted to complete Not-China first before getting there. I barely completed just 70%ish of the map.The starting area is just so drab. Kinda bricked myself going for Cartethyia too since I can't even ascend her to 60 yet and I don't feel like farming more to get Shorekeeper from the starting banner which has a limited time for some reason. And of course she's on a 50/50.

I'm also just having more fun with the horse pussy game.

But TL;DR: 1.0 is a word fiesta. It gets better in later parts of 1.X (after you unlock main character form 2).
Some people really like the 2.X story, others hate it. Both agree some parts are way too long.
