If Epic is so "pro consumer", why are they on this list of companies lobbying against Stop Killing Games?

The issue is that Steams massive userbase easily makes up for their 30% cut. EGS takes like a 5%-15% cut depending on the success of the game but their users don't buy games. They spend some money on fortnite but nothing else.

EGS really thought they could buy a userbase with free games and better deals for developers but the store itself and the client are so dogshit that nobody wants to migrate. Valve is 100% laser focused on their platform but all the other companies that are running platforms as well(EA, Epic, Ubisoft, CDPR) treat their platforms as a side gig.

I didn't play gmod but I played custom stuff in CS1.6, and the maps would be downloaded to your hard drive when joining them, so you'd de facto have a copy.
As far as I know this doesn't happen with Roblox?

Any game with an ongoing development and/or an online component(pvp or co-op) and/or is offering any kind of in-app purchases is a live service game.

You know what isn't a live service game? A singleplayer game that is content complete, fully offline and not still being patched or updated.
