>>714678772The game is not designed for the NPCs to be killable, even NPCs killing NPCs will eventually break the game. If a shop NPC is killed, you can no longer use that shop. You would think more NPCs would slowly get replaced, but they don't.
Unfortunately, the whole game falls apart if you play for a few hours. You can rest to speed up time, the problem is this doesn't effect NPCs so their schedules get broken. Their schedules get broken and then they get stuck in a loop. The developer had something good and decided to give up instead of ironing things out.
