I never really liked the wii console, playing it on PC with the speed hacks is the way to go. I wish they'd release an optimized version of all the RF games on the PC with better graphics and QoL updates. They could make a RF collection special(RF1, RF2, RFF, and RFToD) and I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Who knows, if RF6 sold well maybe they'll consider it.

It's more people dont look into the system until it starts to negatively impact you, and by that point its quite a chore to rebalance the runeys back to where you're at neutral or benefiting from them again.

Personally its not the system i dislike, its the stupid vacuum and collecting the little guys to redistribute. If there was a smoother method to collect/move them around i wouldnt have any issues with it

Rest applies, i think if it had come after RF3 and wasnt an awful mess on S1/wasnt lazy with implementing homo shitin exhange for cut content it would have been received slightly better, but RF4 set the bar pretty high as the last game, and 5 should have been able to do much more being on a console but ends up doing a fair bit less overall.

HM/RF always seemed to lack on the more autistic side of farm/land building opting more into trying to make the chars/town more enjoyable to interact with, mixed results especially to later SoS games.

That said RF4 takes it pretty far, can be pretty autistic with crop building and that plays into the crafting/medicine making, and the cast is one of the best in the series, tack on a pretty involved rpg system and its a pretty good package overall.

I didn't even know the Runey's did anything or were a problem for people until I saw it stated on /v/ specifically. I played Frontier blind and I never had an issue with Runey management. Suck some up here, transport them somewhere else, check the maps now and again and most of the time the problem seemed to solve itself anyway so I hardly had to manage anything. I like both but they're pretty different. Sakuna does a couple things in great detail while Guardians of Azuma does many more with less depth. I think the overall experience is still pretty pleasant.
