should I play kotor 2 unpatched if it's my first playthrough? I've heard the restored content stuff is kinda crap but I've also heard the game has some serious bugs unpatched

I did, but I played it unmodded unfortunately. While I generally enjoyed the writing / cutscenes more than KOTOR 1, I still feel like the first game has more heart
