>Hard Reset was ambitious but flawed.
Looking back - I think I actually really liked a lot of the map design in Hard Reset. My big issues are the mall, the final map, and I think Michonne really. I think those sections felt way too weak.
Night School - good starting map. Set the tone for the rest of the game. Stealth mechanics - you have to slowly fight your way through the school.
Anderson Homestead - the big issue I feel here was once you got inside the underground complex - their needed to be more payoff to all the buildup.
Outskirts - this is prob the best map in the game. Prob one of the best maps in Ashes. New enemy types. Very spooky/sinister. Good location to explore.
Cordon - this maps stealth section was bugged for the longest time but even bugged I still enjoyed it - but unbugged I think it's one of the more fun bandit maps. The stealth mechanics did work even bugged just the outcome would break if you pressed a button. I think the boss at the end was a let down.
The Green Line - spooky map with some stealth stuff earlier on. I think the fights later were a little too easily cheesable. I do wonder if maybe you were supposed to encounter the final boss here near the end.
The Mall - I think I would have enjoyed this map more if the trailer hadn't of spoiled the new enemy type. And maybe had the new enemy pop up sooner in the game too.
At Death's Door - Ok bandit map and the wendigos are always scary to fight.
Chokaworld - fun joke map - the early lobby fight could use some work tho. More fights spread around. Make the final fight better maybe.
The City - this is a good map. Enjoyable leading the squad through the city and just decimating everything when you are together.
Hard Reset - I think this is too much of a treading of the ending of Ashes 2063 - needed more encounters and the underground bunker needed to be larger. Hammer fight is ok.
Vostyok did a good job getting this functional I think since the furry bailed halfway through.
