>>714677813There are only 2 Fire Emblem games on the Switch, Three Houses and Engage. The other games are in the action category (Dynasty Warriors, Mussou). Those are Three Hopes and Fire Emblem Warriors, you can ignore those for now because they're only good if you're a fan of the series/characters represented in them. So back to Three Houses and Engage, I personally only encourage beginners/newcomers to try Engage first and see if they like it to keep going on.
Telling a beginners to play Fire Emblem by starting with the GBA Fire Emblem might culture shock them since they're over 20 year old games now. The GameCube Fire Emblem is remarkably slow, I remember it being slow and the passage of time only made them slower. The Wii Fire Emblem is a sequel to the GameCube one and it had some questionable design decisions but it isn't a total waste of time if you want to try it out.
I'll be completely honest, Three Houses feels like a light novel with some gameplay elements thrown in and most of the gameplay isn't exactly Fire Emblem (zerg rush with Cavalry). The people who glaze Fire Emblem Three Houses are Reddit and Resetera.
tldr; Engage first. Then consider playing the GBA or 3DS Fire Emblem. If you like those, then try the first Fire Emblem Warriors game on Switch. Only try Three Houses if you want a light novel with mindless gameplay.
