hacking is different from making a working homebrew to install games, it's most likely already been hacked, as nintendo is not above governmental security agencies in making secure systems, but the long ass work is the latter in the mod scene.

it will surely happen early because corporations will patch the system and eventually the hardware itself making it harder to exploit. it's always like this. if you're interested in modding consoles a getting first model is always a good bet (but imo it's so bad this round it's not even worth buying at full price).
