Reminder that you still can and SHOULD sign the SKG initiative if you haven't yet.

>Why?

While we hit the 1 million required signatures, it's safe to assume that a lot of them will be thrown out. People giving wrong or incomplete data, trolls who entered bullshit, botters who tried to fuck with the results... they will all be invalidated. So we need as big of a buffer as possible to make sure this doesn't fuck us over.

Do you part.

How do I take my signature out of this garbage petition? I was lied to about its objectives. Video Game Europe let me know what was actually going on.

I have done my part.
I don't care if it doesn't work in the end, just seeing the industry seething and the shill coming here to try to make it fail with their shit is hilarious.

do it EU bros, it will benefit us all. the shills are in absolute overdrive and it's great to behold.
corporations think that accessing the content you rightfully purchase is a privilege they can withdraw at any time for any reason--this must change or we're all in trouble

Private MMO servers already prove that the community is perfectly capable of running abandoned projects on their own without issues. Even a legal framework that protects these projects would be a huge win.

The further we progress, the more I ask myself whether there are 1.4 million gamers in the EU who can and will vote

>total EU population is ~450 million
>1.4 in every 450 EU-citizens must vote

ECIs are an official government institute and are part of the democratic process in the EU.
Submitting intentionally forged signatures is classified as voter fraud. Doing it with the express intent of sabotage can be classified as undermining the state, which might have you branded as a terrorist.

Do you know what Interpol is? They don't have officers with an Interpol badge who do the investigating, they coordinate the police forces of various countries to work together to find perpetrators.
If it turns out that a large amount of voters were faked they would help to coordinate the police from the countries where the fakes were submitted from.
Now if they actually do give a shit to investigate probably depends on the amount of fake votes. But if it's really something like 200-300k like Ross said I'd bet my ass that they will look into it.
