Play DeSu. Its a kick-ass take on SMT with one of the better stories and casts. Its characters are designed by Durarara!s horny artist that has no understanding or cares of how gravity affects tits. It also has a pure rock soundtrack that only stops once per day. While the combat is a slightly watered down version of SMTs and going with an Extra Turn instead of Press Turn system, it has an added layer of tactics that gives your demon's traits a lot more importance. All in all, its really fucking good.
If you want a more traditional SMT, go with Soul Hackers. SJ is also traditional SMT and should as your second choice, no matter what.

Devil Survivor works as a first pick because every route is quite short, so you could keep coming back to it to try new routes
Soul Hackers is the next longest, not terribly long unless you grind the casino for the best gear to cheese through the endgame + do the postgame dungeon. Remember, sexy defines her.
Strange Journey is a lot longer per route, and absolutely worth playing but I'd probably pick it last simply due to length.
