Definitely. It hardcore works. Throwing is incredibly versalite and useful, and melee up close is great, especially if you have a good tungsten steel knife. Biology and Chemistry for gas grenades, throw on mechanics there too so you can craft your own knives.

the build I've currently rated as my #1 build does that.
walking through your own caltrops, molotov fire, and gas grenades is completely and totally OP. three-pointer grenades and scaling throwing knives. literally nothing it can't do with huge room for misplay. like dominating cleared warehouse block beta of all ironheads and balor without a single death/reload at level 15. Getting thick skull and even packrat and quick pockets pickups.

doesn't really use acid though except in a pinch. acid is just not exceptional, best use is acid blob traps immobilizing bots, but they're twice the weight and 8x the expense of another poisoned bear trap with vile weaponry. I mean I don't ignore acid glands and turn them all into more vials of acid because chucking them at a respawned annoyance of rathounds is funny, but they just don't scale enough

the ONLY thing I don't like with it is fighting on jetski and how expensive it can be if you have to inefficiently take out a strongman but it's not the only build that hates the moneydrain that are fighting strongman

Jetski parts are worth a shitload so if you can find or steal some jetski's, you can quickly make a good chunk. In expedition you either side with the camp or the pirates so your free to steal jetski's from one side and sell them to the Ray.

any ranged options that let you attack from your jetski are great because 90% of the natives don't have ranged attacks. You can easily clear them out from the jetski and the dominator can basically clear camps on its own if you have the money for it. Natives have low armor so anything that causes bleed or hollow points work well. They have high poison resistance so that's bad, while also having really strong poison on their crossbows so some antidotes and bio resistance is helpful. Pretty much any build works, but I've always initiated combat from the jetski and just get off to clean up the stragglers.

it is guaranteed but it's not necessary for a pure TM build, you can craft an arguably better headband. You can access the area pretty quickly if you buy the busted jetski at camp hathor and then find a better jetski or parts elsewhere. Dominating also has more enemies, harder types of enemies, and better equipment on enemies.

That last part is important. Quests like Silent Isle cargo are a new kind of fun on Dominating that you just can't get on Hard.

Skill issue. Just because your total build will be Fists down the line doesn't mean you ONLY use Fists, especially early on. There's a bit of magic to using the gas grenades. They combine better with crowd control. Fire and fear can push critters through gas clouds that would normally avoid them, immobilizations, slows, stuns, and incapacitate will get them stuck in the expanding gas clouds. With grenadier feat and some of your own bio protection you can throw a new gas grenade every single turn and just blanket the entire area.

Its kind of weird how no one talks about the shit you do in the games like killing every single Iron Head clan member and Balor in the lower Underrail, even when you turn in the eye to the security chief in Foundry he doesn't really have much of a reaction about how you just walked into their own base and killed every last one of them. No one even acknowledges if you kill all the pirates either, in fact they give the Black Eels credit for the pirates being gone.

Vivian couldn't have been the spy for Coretech that Ola claims. The whole warehouse stuff about hostages is a lie that they're both telling you, you're disabling the security so that JKK can try to steal the cube from Coretech, using the mercenaries that raided it as cover.
JKK hoped it was in the warehouse but it wasn't.
When you work for Coretech, whatever dumbass security guard steals the IPD and tries to hand it off to delivery- with the hand off going to someone who works for Ola. It's a weak ass job that's relying on an idiot Coretech guard for a tech steal- JKK isn't that far into the ranks of Coretech to be learning about any spy.
Lastly, Vivian doesn't drop a single tiny hint that she's on the wrong side of anything or anybody. Just Mykola's daughter who worked up from junior broadcast mechanic to an operations coordinator. Ola, on the other hand, is just slimy from the get-go. When he goes to "warn" you about Vivian it makes zero sense: you're brand new to JKK and he's trusting you with intel- The only reason the PC can't immediately turn around and tell Vivian about this nonsense is because the game won't LET you.

The whole thing reads like Ola hardcore sabotaged a co-worker for a promotion. The way the writing works is just stupid. Someone hurt Styg bad for him to make that.

I got through it by just not making any noise. That's another disadvantage of firearm pistols.
