I can understand that normal people don't want to force themselves to grind a game and wait 2 years to finally get to pull for their favorite character on a banner

I would assume it's a multitude of things. One is that the game is years old already with an extremely low barrier to entry, another thing is that it's basically a visual novel for the most part and the market for that type of game is very limited. It also got released after some very big gachas released just days or weeks beforehand. I also find the character design pretty boring when you compare it to some other gacha trash on the market.

I played it from launch up until the big finale and after that I kind of realised the gameplay gets a bit boring. The game is (or was?) very generous and not needing to roll for dupes was so fucking good that at a point I basically never really failed to roll anyone I wanted so long as I skipped once in a blue moon and paid for the "sub". But I got bored and there are so many better gacha out there in terms of gameplay.
