How the FUCK are these 8bit beep boop graphics so god damn atmospheric??
I genuinely haven't been this creeped out by any horror media in years but this got to me

Good direction, clear vision, stylization. Faith really blew me away with how good it was at being a horror game, it’s incredibly unique. I think the sound design helps drive the horror a lot. Also the primitive graphics fuck with your head, since you can’t fully make out what some of the demons are.

I think its the constant switching from sprites to fmv, you can never get used to it so it always catches you off guard

Why couldn't ALIEN have such a good puzzle game?

i like indie shit horror games way more than i should and i am still dumbfounded at how faith became such a hit, with people genuinely praising the horror factor. the garbly atari sounds get old fast and the rotoscoped fmvs are just straight up silly

It's the gameplay. You're very weak, you die in one hit, you can't run, and most enemies have their own sets of "rules" to fight them with or else you get instantly fucked.
