What's a game you've been going back to play lately
Anonymous No.714714753 [Report] >>714715216
This. I started another run on the switch port. It's pretty good. Handheld runs pretty identical to the steam deck. docked is locked 30fps quality mode unless you have a 120hz monitor, whitch was fine after i adjsted to it.

I've been replaying mostly older games on my CRT and collection of hacked/modded consoles (and SNES with a flashcart)
>FFT
>DKC1 and 2
>Chrono Trigger (never played it on a CRT before now, shit looks so much better on it)
>Persona 3 FES (with party control mod this time)
>FFV
>Earthbound
>Breath of Fire 3
>Yoshi's Island

what's the point of replaying games when there are so many games you haven't played yet?

I do we're talking about Games you find yourself returning to, of course, this doesn't apply to everyone. Some games are just cozy to replay

I've played through the story many times, have 1000+ hours logged. And I'm currently learning how to make mods for it.

I replayed it a few months ago with a modlist and PL installed. Honestly, the base game wasn't much better or different than what I remember despite all the updates since launch. The PL story was cool, but I thought Dog Town was pretty boring and way too small for an Expansion. I expected a world space similar to Blood and Wine. The mods available where mainly dress up mods that let me make Fem V dress like a Cyber Ninja slut and some QoL stuff and survival mods. Sad there weren't many good gameplay mods that added RPG elements or de-scaled the World.

Overall it has a great story and cinematic presentation all around. But it's an incredibly weak RPG and the combat is bad and boring on non-stealth builds.

Nah, the game is just designed heavily around stealth. AI and the general pace of the game is incredibly slow for run-and-gun/melee. So both feel boring.

They said itll be like the last one. Which was photo mode tweaks and some extra customization stuff for the character, and i think the ability to put your screenshots in your apartments.
So nothing big.

It's coming, definitely in the coming months. My guess is that they want a tie-in with the new season of the show, probably laying the groundwork for a DLC or some promotional content. They want those sales and they expect the anime to reach new highs given the success of the first season.

The fifth is so cheap right now, but I read that the game 'hijack' your character if you roam around for too long, which I felt is a fucking shitty mechanic. Plus, giving more money to Ubisoft after regretting doing that for AC Origins is a mistake I think I won't make again.

Although I have minor gripes like the slight censorship, and lack of ng+ which would give it a substantial boost in replay value, I find myself enjoying the smrpg remake again. Like, 99.9% of it is intact, and the extra goodies from post game are a very enjoyable addition

I'm going to revisit Tales of Maj'Eyal and play the DLC expansions. It's my favorite roguelike and I never managed to find another one that scratched the same itch. I've tried ADOM and hated the awful UI + quests, Path of Achra is good but not the same, I look at most roguelikes and say it's not for me.

played this for the first time after upgrading my peesee, was almost completely unaware of what it was actually like other than the launch shitstorm. Very pleasantly surprised, game is quite good, story is good, visually stunning of course, extremely smooth to play. A lot more linear than I was expecting, but then I guess that was one of the points of contention on release, I don't mind it however, makes things more coherent

One thing that did bother me though is the entire equipment system. the tiered loot, junk items, consumables, constant replacement as you level, etc just felt so bloated and unnecessary, also very annoying because it costs money to slot in new cyberware, a lot of money, and I basically couldn't afford to actually slot in what I wanted and keep it up to date, I had to leave that stuff alone and upgrade a few key items every tier or so. Same sort of deal with weapon upgrade costs and the knock on effect of levels which is that enemies turn into bullet sponges if your gear isn't up to date. I wish it was all deleted and just worked like deus ex, would have felt much better

I actually had a lot of fun with the 5th one, im not sure what they mean but I dont think I had any experience with that. Incredible soundtrack, good villains, fine gameplay. 5 blew 4 out of the water. 4 was bad.

I made it like an hour into ac origins and left it lmao
