>>714714478 (OP)played this for the first time after upgrading my peesee, was almost completely unaware of what it was actually like other than the launch shitstorm. Very pleasantly surprised, game is quite good, story is good, visually stunning of course, extremely smooth to play. A lot more linear than I was expecting, but then I guess that was one of the points of contention on release, I don't mind it however, makes things more coherent
One thing that did bother me though is the entire equipment system. the tiered loot, junk items, consumables, constant replacement as you level, etc just felt so bloated and unnecessary, also very annoying because it costs money to slot in new cyberware, a lot of money, and I basically couldn't afford to actually slot in what I wanted and keep it up to date, I had to leave that stuff alone and upgrade a few key items every tier or so. Same sort of deal with weapon upgrade costs and the knock on effect of levels which is that enemies turn into bullet sponges if your gear isn't up to date. I wish it was all deleted and just worked like deus ex, would have felt much better
