one of the witcher 3's weaknesses is that it added tons of this useless mechanics like this and also durability just because its expected to have it because it's a RPG but it's just implemented poorly.

Exactly. I love the game, easy top 10 for me, but they could have cut that shit and actually focused more on stuff like combat. Even the skill progression felt kind of weird. These days I reinstall just for the scenery and traversing the world. I hope they fix that shit on 4, but I doubt it.

True, it doesn't. I won't say that combat is shit, especially on higher difficulties where you have to use your brain, but it always felt too rigid, for me at least.
