I wish they would scrap all the shit that came after with 7 Sorrows and go back to this. Arcade style with basic RPG hybrid mechanics, linear stages with a hub. They could use Diablo 3's arcade feel and scaling difficulty. But goddamn it's sad the series absolutely fell on its face after DL.

I always thought this was a bit limiting in terms of palettes

I didn't know until recently that there was an arcade version of Dark Legacy I only ever saw Legends cabinets. The levels in that version are in a way different order than the console version too, you're fighintg the final area enemies on like the second level of the Sorceress' realm.
