Right in time, I finished Sailor Moon 90s anime hours ago. All 200 episodes of it, movies and extras as well.
OG, R and S deserve their status as classics, SuperS absolutely does not, and Stars is only redeemed at the end. R is peak.
Usagi is best girl, no one could ever compete. She is just too cute and entertaining. Also damn, she had to go through some shit.

Either way, Usagi deserves a happy ending, she worked hard for it and was a very good girl, would have been extremely anticlimatic to tell her "yeah you won the final fight but you went through all this bullshit, a breakup and several deaths and there will be nothing for you at the end of it".

Chibiusa ended up being inconsistent, annoying most of the times and had the worst case of the authors really wanting to force her in the plot somehow despite making little sense in the setting. As far the anime is concerned, anyway, she was handled better in the manga I hear but I don't think it would be enough to redeem her because SuperS/Dream arc still exist, that alone is going to make Chibiusa feel somebody who got in the way of your enjoyment and stole the spotlight away from the actual interesting stuff.

Beat Stellar Blade last weekend

Do you think this was intentional? Theres a next episode preview where the story has elementary school kids as the focus and they say Cute and Funny as the kids come on screen. It was on the early 2010s blu ray with dubtitles so it had to have been added by the localizer. I upgraded to the blu ray set that released a few years ago with better image quality on season 1-3 and i swear, when this scene came on the cute and funny bit wasnt there. I have to go and recheck I was just casually watching but felt like i was waiting for it to say it and it didnt.

For one, most moonies are women and she acts like a bratty little sister. They tend to really dislike these kind of younger characters on principle unless they are completely inoffensive like Chibi-Chibi in Stars, who is barely a character and I bet nobody even remembers her.
That said, SuperS alone is a good reason to dislike her. You are watching an entire season where the center and focus of the plot is about Chibiusa speaking to an unicorn, very little happens outside of that, it will be especially rough coming from R and S both having very involved plots and villains.

Play vanilla. First chapter is easy as fuck yes, don't worry about it.
The game does get harder and if you don't know what you are doing you will probably struggle a lot in the Mercury section with special regard to her Nabu boss fight, but there are mechanics to help you steamroll everything with no grinding until Apsu in the last chapter, who just has inflated stats you were supposed to finish the puzzle and get an overpowered accessory on every senshi

I finished the first F.E.A.R. and both of its expansions today. It kinda reminded me of Half-Life 2, with its semi-seamless world split by loading screens and the episodic content provided by the expansions. Pretty decent, never had the thought "this is boring" cross my mind.

I played it back when the very first fan translation released (the one from 99), I'm not really too familiar with the grindless patch, or what it changes gameplay wise.
Once you get to the solo chapters, the game gets pretty damn hard, and never really lets up.

All the SFC Sailormoon games are surprisingly hard, especially considering their target audience.

Its a SRPG made by some of the same people that do Super Robot Wars, later getting sequels in the form of Project X Zone and Project X Zone 2.
Namco X Capcom has pretty slow gameplay and is pretty braindead easy so its something you kinda enjoy more for the ride.
The fan translation we got is hot garbage, some weird mix of like fuck 20 people worked on it, and I'd say about half of them were running the script through mid 2000s google translate, and the other half were ESLs, shit like "Valkyria Saber" got translated as "Dirty Rear Strike" so you really need to be familiar with these characters and stuff to parse what the fuck they're trying to say sometimes.

I love it too despite it's flaws. I think it definitely has the best mechanics of the series, but it just doesn't use them to full effect.
I also bought the guide books to get a better grasp of some things, and did you know that apparently the elemental weakness/resistance only increases/decreases damage by 10%? And levels are more important than raw stats because for every 1 level difference between you and the enemy, the one with higher level deals 10% more damage and takes 10% less damage, making levels the most important stat basically.
