Because some of us remember when bungie was good, and because Sony's 3.5 BILLLION fucking dollar purchase is enough to have a noticable difference in the console wars. It also directly affects Sony's intermediate term strategy, see Concord, where they advised Sony to invest almost a half billion in buying the company, and which live service games they shuttered.

Finally, a number of public Bungie figures have called for the shutdown of 4chan, and have actively pushed for it's removal from the internet.

This is of course not counting the anons who enjoy a good car crash.
