Why do Christians always post or say things that make their faith sound hypocritical and contradictory?

The man in the OP is sorry and begging for forgiveness from God for a relatively minor crime but is implied to recieve an eternity of punishment no matter what he says or if he repents. Seems to me like a very cruel belief system, and not the product of a good person to spread that belief.
