I just finished The Shell: Inferno
I did use a guide but didn't realize the True End was one scene so I got through most of main route then ended up doing all the side ones before finishing making for a some what anti-climactic resolution but still enjoyed it alright
will try guideless for the next one now that I have a feel for it

but its very tedious with millions of lines of text so i dont get very far
and the translation will turn out bad

I was re-reading this (and was going to move on to 2) in preparation for reading 3 for the first time but my drive failed, I lost the save and i haven't arsed myself to skip back to where i was
What I'll say though is while the localisation for the first is much better than the old MangaGamer one it's very disposed towards over-expanding dialogue lines in that typical American localisation style and it winds me up. I remember the original KnS 2 localisation being good so I'm tempted to just read that version instead when i get to it

Brother, this game came out like two years ago physically.

This is honestly an amazing game. I kind of wish it'd drop the exploration and battles to be a full blown VN but I get why they did
The amount of content is truly staggering. I've been playing for almost a month now, I'm not even sure if FSN took me this long to get through it
