In Mihoyo's games you have like 10x times lower chance of pulling an SSR than the average. Which was already in single digit percent. It's absolutely abysmal.
Mihoyo gachas are all about the guaranteed 50/50 SSRs. And in my experience it's much more disheartening to lose a 50/50 than pulling an SSR at 10x times higher rate, even if it's not the banner character.

Yeah, but the argument was not about getting the character you want. You do that both when sparking and on pity. It's about the other SSRs. And, as you said, it's also about fun. The extra SSRs help to smooth out the disappointment of not rolling the character you want early. For Mihoyo - it's just all or nothing. So in 50% cases (if your luck is average) you end up getting your soul crushed. I just don't think it's a very fun gacha model. But, I guess, I'm in the minority here, since Mihoyo's pity seems to be pretty popular.

Well the argument originally was about how generous I found Mihoyo compared to the others. In fact actually I will say Nikke might be the most generous simply because of all the currency they give you. BA seems to be the least generous unless I'm missing something because after months I still dont even have enough for 200. Meanwhile I do in nikke and do in ZZZ as well. But I will say yeah I have far more SSRs in BA despite all that so I guess it does balance out in that regard. Honestly both are flawed and should be improved upon. Tower of Fantasy has a better pity system than Mihoyo games(80 pulls for hard pity - SSR Guaranteed, Even if you pull an SSR before hitting the 80 pull mark it doesn't reset, progress to 80 carries over to any limited banner, similar 50/50 system, you earn currency(flamegold tokens) by pulling that you can just use to outright buy the banner character after 110 pulls in the Weapon Store) but you don't see people celebrating that one. ToF unfortunately has the garbage ass Matrix system though which is the W-Engine/Weapon banner but worse because you need the 4 unique matrixes per SSR to complete the set.

They've moved 15 characters from limited banners to the standard banner since release. Every single one of them had their limited banner run at least Three times, maximum of Six times. They've also given out at least Three SSR selectors to choose from the Vera SSRs they added to the standard banner as well.
Hate on Hotta for being INCREDIBLY stingy with Red Nuclei for limited banner pulls, terrible TL work, absurd SSR scaling - New SSR are fucking absurd to the point Aesperia and Vera blades(minus the poster girl Lin) have been completely outclassed, hell even some of the Domain 9 SSRs have been made obsolete by the new blades. But they give you ample time to collect any SSR you want via Limited Banners.

Just noticed the new tower ends in 8 days. Man, it's so much easier than the old tower. Reset just sets you back to the last multiple of 10 floor. So I swapped in Yixuan and Astra who I got now. This is a joke. Yixuan shits out iframes non-stop. And in case I need healing, I can pop Astra's ult. Not that you need it in the new tower, since you can pick cards that heal you 20% per floor. I'll finish the next 10 floors some other day for the badge.
