>>714754352 (OP)Literally a comedy of errors by Koei-Tecmo:
-Give Trump-hating California gook Tom Lee second chance to prove his 'I'm a Fighter' promotional campaign of desexualization and emphasis on 'cool' would work despite it failing with DOA5 because THIS TIME hot women were all but eliminated in AAA western games
-Pander to eSports and fgc fags who had always hated DOA while all but telling the traditional fans they were no longer needed ("We're appealing to MODERN AUDIENCES")
-As part of this pandering, cut out tag mode because that isn't played at tournaments
-Rush out a demo for EVO which has no titty physics, leading to the belief that is has been cut due to the stated shift away from fanservice, as well as 3 of the 4 playable characters not having their full move sets available. Only Tom Lee's personal design new character and Travis Touchdown rip-off, Diego, literally made to "increase Hispanic representation" because California, had his full move set. Naturally the few people who play the demo choose him because new character and why pick a handicapped character?
-All starting costumes for the female characters are conservative and boring. Chests for popular asian characters like Kasumi and Ayane are smaller
-Introduce meters and Mortal Kombat style slow motion attacks, bruising and blood to emphasize brutality (later scaled back for Japanese waifu characters Marie Rose, Honoka and NiCO). Memes about women shown being pummeled in the face by male characters while wearing bikinis is no longer allowed, later culminating in the 'Core Values' fiasco
-Starting outfits are literally just palette swaps.
-Game releases with each character having only a single intro/win pose
-Gen Fu, Leon, and Ein cut, the first time since DOA2 that a non-boss, non-guest character has been cut from the roster
-Shitty lighting
-Fewer arenas and just general content than DOA5
-Smaller overall roster than DOA5
-Shitty netcode
So much went wrong it won't even fit in one post.
