Purple, light blue (one next to yellow) and red in the male section are frequently depicted as girls too. Arguably, there's TOO many female characters that look masculine.
The real problem is there's not enough male characters that look feminine.

What're the chances Overwatch inspired this image? The women are so similar people thought a few newer ones were just modifications of the old ones. Meanwhile you have Junkrat, Roadhog, Mauga, Zen, Bastion, Winston, Hammond. Orisa is the only out there female look and that's only because you're not meant to want to fuck her.

Yeah, it was absolutely real, they just tried to walk it back after the backlash. The diversity matrix wasn’t debunked, they admitted it was internal and just never meant to be public. That whole thing where they rated characters on race, gender, body type, etc., like it's a fucking point system for a D&D character sheet. Was definitely used in OW2’s dev cycle.

Also 100% agree-even when they “deviate,” it’s always just safe deviations. Like sure, Junker Queen is "rugged," but she’s still a dominatrix under 3 coats of lore and eyeliner. They literally designed the grandma support to be sexy in her ult animation ffs. Blizzard will nerf a jiggle now and then, but they can’t stop making waifu bait if their lives depended on it.
