Why can't Nvidia fix their GPU driver issues that still happen today?

Please remind me which Nvidia drivers are considered the most stable? I know they're from December 2024 but I can't remember the exact number and the "official" nvidia list of drivers on their website omits a ton of them.

Lots of official game devs recommend 566.36 as the last good driver from Nvidia. Nvidia is blaming game devs and game devs are blaming Nvidia. So it ends up never getting fixed.

I had to sell my 5080 because HDR literally did not work on it. I tried everything but it either caused black screen, BSOD, or wrong colors.

When I switched to 9070xt HDR just worked as soon as I did the Windows Shortcut Key.

i have a fun issue on my 4090 where whenever the display is turned off the card will no longer display. Rarely the graphics driver will restart if i fuck around with the mouse and keyboard but usually not. Good shit. This isn't even a recent driver thing either

Maybe you shouldn't just assume everyone knows what they are talking about. I, like that other guy, use a nvidia card on Linux (actually I have 2 different nvidia cards) and there is no more wrong with the drivers than there is with nvidia drivers on Windows.

I never update my driver's and everything works fine . Even when new games come out and the new driver specifically patches that new game i don't update and the new game works.

Dune made me update to 576.88 and haven't had any issues so far.
actually haven't had any issues ever, so I've always wondered if is a hardware + shitty drivers combo issue.
I have a 4090 I bought on release.

why are you downloading the latest driver then? Just because it's new doesn't mean it's good.

On 4090 you don't even need the latest driver optimisation since they rarely give any boost for first world cards.
The perf. boosts are for thirdpoor xx70 and below
