This was all done via autists comparing blurry images to box art from a months old direct.

What is keeping Nintendo from announcing all 5 right now?

It was remade for the DS, and replacing Banjo and Conker with Dixie and Tiny Kong, all due to both Banjo and Conker being owned by Microsoft (even though Microsoft was extremely friendly to Nintendo back then for their handhelds, since Xbox never went into the handheld field then).

The only western non-liscenced game I'll accept on N64 is Conker, which I don't understand why it's not on the service already. It's the only M-Rated game that wasn't already on the service worth a shit. That or maybe MK4, which considering the collection is a thing that exists, I doubt will happen.

Believe it or not, Nintendo never published that game. It was published by Rare. It wasn't even allowed to grace the covers of Nintendo Power. THQ published the game in Europe. Was never released in Japan prior to Rare Replay. They still might be disgusted by that game existing to begin with.

It and its remake are on Xbox anyway. The former being in Rare Replay. It wasn't even released in Japan prior to Rare Replay.

Nintendo DID publish those three games though. Conker's Bad Fur Day was never published by Nintendo since they were repulsed by it, and never published an M rated game before Eternal Darkness, which might not be released on the Gamecube app, due to the fakery of everything in that game, since it was Psycho Mantis: The Game (and was developed by the same team who did the Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes port), and had one of the producers be none other than Shigeru Miyamoto.

N64 FPS controls are pure cancer. At least the Xbox port of Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, and Jet Force Gemini has updated controls (the latter had to be patched in after complaints). I assume the same is for the Turok ports, since it doesn't have to rely on old control schemes.

Considering Turok already had all its games ported on Switch and the first two are still on the service. That was never an issue, the only real shock was it didn't happen sooner. I guess they spent all their third-party money on getting Ridge Racer, and are now putting all their attention on the GCN hoping everyone just forgets about the N64 after Smash and DK64, just like they did with the SNES,

I recall that Official Xbox Magazine gave it a 9, with the only flaw that they found that it wasn't on Xbox Live. I assume they would have rated it a 9.5 if not a 10 if it had online gameplay.

And Activision is owned by MS, and I doubt the asking price will be anything besides pocket change.
Besides, what other GCN games could they ask for? Fucking every other third party game the system had that's presentable is either also owned by one of the big name publishers, or liscenced. It's like the N64 times 10.

NES, SNES, and N64, got away with scraping the bottom of the barrel because those systems are just primitive enough so it doesn't ruin the credibility and value of the service too much. If they sink that low on the GCN, it will actually damage their brand.

A shitty business model (from the consumer point of view). Seriously, Nintendo has intentionally fucked the availability of their back catalogue for the sole purpose of marketing NSO and expensive remakes / remasters. I would ask why the consumer base lets them get away with this, but I already know the answer: they don't actually care about playing "old" games. The entire business model of NSO essentially acknowledges the low value or real demand for these games. Nintendo knows it's more profitable to offer a "cheap" subscription than it is to offer individual games for reasonable / cheap prices.

Realistically, there's no way a GameCube ROM should cost more than $10 in the year 2025. $5 might be pushing it for some titles, and for that matter, no games from before GameCube should cost more than $5 per ROM.

Yeah, but they were also selling N64 games for $10 when they were only ~10 years old. Why should we accept a worse deal? Public reception of a lot of these rereleases / remasters / remakes only serves to prove that the average consumer couldn't give less of a shit about these games.

I should clarify this is what I think they would do, not what I think is a fair price. Nintendo would arbitrarily set two tiers and put anything people WANT into the higher tier so that people who complain about $20 gamecube roms can be told "you can get some games for less!"

I need to buy the N64 Controller for this game. The C-Button Jets were made to be mashed, stick flicks on other controllers canโ€™t replicate that.

Probably one of the only games that was purely made for that consoleโ€™s controller, every other instance the C-Buttons could be replaced with the right stick.

I bet they are having trouble with the copy protection. Since emu users tend to fill their days with only the first 30 mins of hundreds of games, many of the "I played this years ago on emulator" types probably thought their choice of "save fix" patch actually works and didn't just happen to not have the payload trigger during their limited play time.
If they have the source they could remove the check properly, but then that means they need to be able to build the source which is hardly a given. "This is the source" is easy to say, "this is the source and here's the complete build toolchain and the instructions on what to run when", that's much less common.

Hey, nigger. Check out the calendar. It has been nearly 20 years since VC launched.

Yeah, they fucked VC up with WiiU and 3DS, but that original launch was (arguably) reasonable. $10 for a heavy hitter like OoT (when it was nine years old) wasn't a bad asking price, and following that pricing scheme, it really doesn't make sense that GameCube games (roughly 20 years old) would cost more than $10. Yes, I know Nutendo would charge more, but that's beside the point. They fucking suck now.
