This place is a dystopian hellhole. You can't even say the n word around here without getting an automatic 3 day or warning. It's fucking insane. There are spammers who fuck things up on every board, who will do anything/everything to evade the ban, who are the actual menaces, and then you have a man dressed like a woman who inflates his ego by hitting a button to 3 day ban someone for using a word that embedded into the board's god damn fucking DNA. They do a sincerely awful job.

I like how every Homestar Runner game is either: >mind-blowing retro throwback that’s legitimately as good as the genre it’s parodying >barely interactive shitpost

Maybe they should if half the population of them are autists with victim complexes.
Anyways, the obligatory funny numbers >Threads made in 2025
323,160 >Threads deleted in 2025
43,708
Rounding, that's 14% of all threads being deleted. Here is the newest 25 results for deleted threads: >Pedo thread, 1 reply >Pedo thread, 1 reply >Foot fetish thread, 3 replies >"Fatigue" troll thread, 7 replies >BBC thread, 14 replies >3DPD thread, 2 replies >Porn thread, 7 replies >BBC thread, 0 replies >A dead doe dressed up as a girl, 18 replies >Racism thread, 10 replies >Gwen thread, 12 replies >Porn thread, 26 replies >India thread, 0 replies >"@grok is this real?", 10 replies >eceleb thread, 52 replies >Pragmata thread, 5 replies >Pedo thread, 0 replies >India thread, 2 replies >Twitter drama thread, 5 replies >India thread, 0 replies >Pedo thread, 0 replies >Black people thread, 2 replies >Thinly veiled hentai thread, 87 replies >Deltarune general, 49 replies >India thread, 11 replies
All of these were posting from 9am to Noon EST btw. Just a three hour span.

It's amazing how stark a contrast can be between projects of passion, and those of shitting out lowest common denominator redundancies because >muh algorithm
>>714789546 >victim complexes
my favorite is when some retard posts and starts screeching about jannies autosaging and shitting up the thread, only for it to turn out that it was in fact not autosaging
always a classic

Easy >No corporate overlords >No advertisements >Absurdist humor with shockingly tight internal consistency >Genuinely passionate about making cartoons >Irreverent without being obscene >Technically strong flash animation
Reminder that these guys unironically hosted one of the largest flash files on the internet on their on website before youtube was really a thing. The Peasant's Quest Movie Trailer was a whopping 10 megabytes and the traffic from people watching it the morning of release overloaded their server, prompting them to take it down and rerelease it later in the week.

I was part of a homestar message board(BHZ) when homestar was big and one of the main mods was a fat bitch named yello dello with that avatar who refused to add an off topic board.
>>714796261
that's based though
off-topic boards always end up as a cancerous growth demanding more and more attention and resources and creating drama even though they refuse to interact with the main board

I used to check in on it every decade or so and it was up as recently as last year. There were still some the same people doing the same 2005 randum xd humor decades later. It looks like it finally got taken down recently.

I think that sums it up pretty well, there are few moments that are meant to make a huge laugh, it's just generally enjoyable. The jokes are small, and a lot of them don't really land until you get the context of the characters' interactions. Bubs driving a baloney truck isn't funny if it's your first time seeing it.
My first date with my third girlfriend, I called something "wack". She said "whiggedy wack?" and I said "no, just regular type". She was gushing as she said "did you just make a Homestar reference?". This was in 2019 and we were 29/30 so the nostalgia kick was nice.
Anyway a few months later she dumped me because I'm an alcoholic. Shit was wack.

Women have literally the most ironclad support networks of anyone ever
The literal only stressors they experience are the pressures of performing as a living human being which they perceive as deathly the same way a fucking heroin addict has all his pain nerves fried from endless bliss and the wind hurts him
Abloo hoo, I was called fat so I got all anorexic about it

Let me make one thing straight here, Clarky. You do not, under any circumstances, reject lore that comes from the mouth of the great Strong Bad himself. Or... erm... boxing gloves.
>>714789336
Shit like this doesn't matter, you have no idea how easy the life of a woman is compared to men. You can be born piss poor, in a piss poor country, have no education, no job, be mentally unstable, have hundreds of failed past relationships, but as long as you're a woman, there will be millions of men who will walk through hell and back just for a chance to love and protect you for seemingly no reason. Being cute and pretty helps a ton, but it's not even necessary

Wanna know something? You can say it, it's just that you have to expect to get reported by someone who hates your posts using the racism prompt as an excuse.

Weren't they also friends with John Linnell from They Might Be Giants? I knew they collaborated a lot by doing the official music video for Experimental Film and having John do the voice of The Poopsmith for sbemail 200, but I can never remember if they were already friends or if TMBG were just big H*R fans and things went from there (it'd certainly be on brand if so, TMBG were huge into internet culture back in the day).
>Yeah, why don't we go to our superior zoomer internet culture.. things like... mimicking the swagger of a black teen? Quoting our favorite e-celeb drama?
>>714828168
Come to think of it, has zoomer culture ever made a videogame? Homestar runner has dozens of flash minigames, a telltale game, Dangeresque, Stinkoman, Peasant's quest, Thy Dungeonman I, II, and III
Is there a kai cenat game where you jump around on screen and collect donations?

Women have a support network of men. Women do not support other women unless the other party is a man. But some women are offput by men (usually as a result of feminism making them hate men and/or lacking a father) and thus reject the support of said men.
Gamer girls who don't hate men become Vtubers and rake in donos

Solitaire and Doom Eternal.
Gunhaver says he doesn't like video games but when he found out Blue Laser enjoys Sonic games he started playing Super Mario World to spite him (fun fact: Gunhaver is awful at video games and can't make it past the first castle).
>>714834672
God, I don't think there was a single miss in the entirety of the Homestar Runner catalog.
Yes, even tape leg has a special place in my heart, since it gave way to one of the few times Homestar Michael J. Runner was able to sarcastically get one over on Strong Bad.

I remember hanging out with second college girlfriend and out of nowhere she randomly said "Pom Pom! Santa!", and she had the biggest smile on her face when I responded "It deliciously didn't work!".
We're married now.
>>714817503
I didn't even realize she was referring to the band until I was rewatching these a few years ago. When I first saw this fan 'stumes I genuinely thought she was saying she liked the concept of pavement. It didn't even register in my mind because homestar characters just talk like that sometimes.
>>714817503 >dnd greg how many years are you going to buy me "yes they're natural" d20 shirts for my birthday? >It's a critical hit of comedy! >[gets crushed by Snoopy sitting on top of his doghouse] >IN THE DOGHOUSE'D!
>>714844538
That entire bit had me laughing harder than I have in weeks. I could actually hear Strong Bad’s voice delivering every line. Anon deserves a Trogdor plush and a lifetime supply of cold ones.
>>714815689 >Women have literally the most ironclad support networks of anyone ever
I beg of you, please step outside once or twice every week from now on
>>714824360 >This is diet brown >Not PCP
That line has killed me every time for the past what...? 15+ years? It's a shame nobody will be able to experience Homestar Runner the way it was intended anymore. It's impossible to explain to people today how INTERACTIVE the internet used to be.
