Mega Man X is the most dull, inoffensive, vanilla, baby-mode action game I've ever played. Really have no idea what people see in it. And Portal is a cool concept, but the first game just feels like a tech demo, it took me like 5 sessions to beat it just because it felt like such a boring chore to play that after 15 minutes I was ready to pack it up.

It really must be said. For as much as PC players consider themselves the vanguards of hardcore gaming, the prevalence of spammable literal save states right at your fingertips really, REALLY fucking trivializes nearly any difficulty that a game has.

This is one situation where consoles clearly win. The curated and challenging experience where difficulty is a carefully crafted, challenging but satisfying, difficult but fair, delicate balance.

And a controller for FPS is not inherently bad, so long as the game is designed/adjusted for it. If anything, it makes the game much more about positioning, strategy, and game knowledge rather than just pure mechanical aim skill.
