clicking just isn't very fun, and most of the upgrades is about limiting the number of times you have to click. something like ffxiv's fishing is better for this kind of game, there's a lot of depth and challenge to the system but its slow enough that you can still chat with people and do other stuff

i think id be fine if they added more maps and that was it. the atlas map and the fall fishing map we played in lobbies were fantastic and prove to me how much a map change can add some much needed variety. i often propfly or clip myself into glitch spots just to fish somewhere different for once, but most people either dont know how to do that or simply dont care enough to move from their favorite dock. the main map initially felt gargantuan when i first played, and now it feels inconceivably tiny to me after having played on it for so long.
i also concede on the player splitting argument because it is annoying enough as is
