With all the failure that's been in the news surrounding this company, i think it's been lost that we are going to see the biggest flop of a new console release in the history of vidya within the next year or 2. The next Xbox is going to sell Stadia numbers. The shitposting will be generational.

There's also reports that Microsoft has pulled the funding on Game Pass, what we've been seeing this year were deals that were already placed before the funding cut after COD failed to boost it. It's over, Microsoft will have to rely on being third party or that is it. PlayStation will be next on the list as PlayStation Publishing LLC was made to port games everywhere, even on Xbox as seen with Helldivers 2. Nintendo and Valve won. Xbox and PlayStation are fucked.

any game that falls under the live service category, or really any game who's livelihood is dependent on lots of people constantly giving a shit about it, should 100% not be kept exclusive. i don't think it's a good idea for them to keep Marvel Tokon off Xbox and Switch 2, for example.

but let's be real here, what are the "other platforns" that can some of the PS5's games? Switch 2 isn't gonna be able to handle Death Stranding 2. once MS says 'fuck this, we're out', it's just gonna be Sony, Nintendo and PC. and as long as there are gamers like me, who don't give a shit about graphics cards and processors and don't believe that i should be forced to do research on computer parts just to play a video game, Playstation will continue to exist. all 3 exist in their own lane. Microsoft wants to be in several lanes at once and that's what's gonna be the end of them.

lol my laptop can't fucking run Elden Ring, and from what i hear, i'm better off playing MH Wilds on console than PC anyway. i couldn't care less if something like Ghost of Tsushima ends up on other platforms.. until "specs" are no longer a concern in the world of PC gaming, it's not a valid platform in my eyes.

Consoles are the same thing, but worse. You can't play some PS5 games on the PS4. You can play MH wilds on PC even if it's not "recommended". In fact you can have a 10 years old PC and run modern games even if badly. Now imagine the PS3 trying to run modern games.

It just came out today that Microsoft's first party games don't even profit off of Game Pass, it's only third party. Microsoft literally on makes money from third parties and it's not enough. It's a PC retard. It doesn't need to do console numbers, it needs to do Surface numbers. And it will be very beneficial for AMD. With this Xbox PC AMD might jump to something like 50% (maybe more) of GPU market share, effectively forcing devs to optimize for AMD PC GPUs just as much if not more than Nvidia GPUs.

What i find wild is that a new 1TB Xbox costs more than a PS5 pro. Everyone said Sony would also raise prices but it just hasn't happened. The best part? Used Xbox prices have gone down. Nobody wants these things.

Not trying to defend them, but it sure is weird if they're really like what journalists claim, Microsoft should already closed Xbox like Windows Phone or Zune no?
I mean we all know Microsoft are pretty short sighted company(only Google can beat them in this part), there's no way Xbox can survive so many years and still remain there, even the recent layoff only cancelled 3rd party games and 3 vaporware with one non-development studio closed, that's even less than the layoff in this year which they closed Arkane Austin and Tango(bought by other company in few months later)
