Truly saddening Spyro is once again dead.
Was so hopefull the Reignited Trilogy would mean a new Spyro sequel to the original trilogy.
Why can't we have good things.

it sold like 10M but it wasn't enough to warrant a sequel? there's nothing more retarded than a gaming ceo.

Sorry, Elora's FAUN BAGS are too big for a new Spyro game, Activision just can't make it happen.

Almost every single spyro that isn't made by insomniac is shit save for like 2
You had garbage like all the handheld trash, skylanders and then just mediocre like the legend series
there's a reason it went dormant for a decade and then only came back with, woah you guessed it, a remaster of the insomniac games

I never got the hype behind Spyro. I tried Spyro 1 because I love Banjo and DK but the collectables felt so boring. I think I beat up to the Tree Top level before I quit. Are the other Spyros like this?

The other Spyro games have side objectives, NPCs to talk to, and minigames to do so you're not just walking around picking things up.
Whether or not you like those things is up to you, but they do play differently to the first game in that sense

Spyro 1 is more open-exploration-platforming. The second and third games have more structured and linear levels with objectives the game expects you to complete and minigames. They were literally designed to be childrens' games so they're not as difficult or complex as Banjo Kazooie.

The fuck are you talking about, you lost on literally all fronts.

Reignited was successful, the old devs publicly praised it, TFB narrowly escaped their mafia-style whacking from Xbox and are still kicking as indie devs, Spyro 4 is in development, and you're going to piss and shit your pants when it gets announced because you've made hating any new Spyro content such an integral part of your identity that you can't have a change of heart or admit you were wrong on any level less you out yourself as a fraud. It is so unironically over.

bad enough that the barafags ruined the designs for 2/3rds of the rescuable dragons, they then turned around and outsourced the other 2 games almost entirely, ruining several designs in the process.

Doesn't it also unfuck her model's face?I'd say that's worth the download alone.

Also kind of sad we didn't get an in depth mod that lets you play the other characters on different maps and the previous two games. I know you can technically use cheat engine or something to do that, but they can't break a lot of different crates for some reason.

It's not a good remaster/remake. Not 3v3n including the terrible performance, the new art style, and VA are a complete downgrade.

If you didn't play spyro 1 on release you kind of miss some of the magic of it
The skyboxes were gorgeous for its time and it felt like a bigass magical world even though it wasn't, plus the jazzy dreamy rock music really added to the immersion
playing it now I get why you would think it's just some easy platformer with shiny gems because it is
