How do NEETs manage to play video games all day?
Whenever I'm unemployed I have no energy, I avoid leaving my room or being seen a single time out of shame, and I can rarely manage to start playing a game without this leadweight feeling in my chest, so I turn the game and myself off.

I'm sure some people genuinely don't feel the shame associated with NEETdom whether they should or not, or believe being a NEET is a good thing. But I think assuming NEETs here are playing vidya all day isn't accurate, many just browse this site or do less productive things. Being employed tends to give people more focus to do the things they're looking forward to when they're not working, even if they have less time.

Being a NEET for decades has made me immune to fomo because I can't afford anything. And having access to majority of games through the high seas has taught me how to choose what game to play.

I was unemployed for 2 years. The answer is weed. Weed makes everything more enjoyable and makes it easier to shake off the shame.

It makes you complacent as fuck though, and heavily impairs your motor functions. I don't recommend it.

Although I have a job now and am mostly trying to go sober, that's awful too. So I'm not sure what I'd not recommend harder.

I walk for 60 minutes a day, do garden work, a bit of volunteer service, I babysit too and stuff. I spend a lot of time away from my PC (I don't own a cell phone or anything, never have)
