It looks like a fun enough game but you can clearly tell that Team Ninja had zero involvement beyond letting Platinum use the licence.
The camera has that Bayonetta style "zoomed away like Google maps" style to it and Ryu being turned into a cameo in his own series so Platinum can push their own OC are pretty telling.

Team Ninja are at least somewhat involved, even though their A-team is obviously working on Nioh 3 which is why Platinum are doing most of it - the co-director of NG4 is Wo Long's director.
