is it fun?

Somehow dumbed down compared to the first game. "Creative builders" took the franchise over, dinosaurs don't even escape anymore.

sequel is coming in october and i guess there is no D-rex in the second game so i'll pass

Yes and no. It doesn't compare to old park/zoo builders like Jurassic Park Operation Genesis or Zoo Tycoon, but its a chill and relaxing game to watch dinosaurs walking around. If you don't mind it being shallow you might get some enjoyment out of it.

>Somehow dumbed down compared to the first game.
Thats a fucking lie. The first game was restrictive as fuck about everything. 2 is a direct upgrade in pretty much every single way.

If you like park management games then you will enjoy it.
However, I would wait to see how JWE3 is on launch in a few months. If it still needs more time in the oven, then I would get JWE2.
Don't even bother with JWE1.

Played it for a hot minute last summer, I'd say go for it if it's on sale. Could also be worth waiting for the sequel coming up but I'm probably not gonna bother. Felt like I got my fill already.

The fuck are you talking about? You can fuck with all the rules and finetune how hard your park is to run, could go either go full casual sandbox or play the challenges which imo is where the game shines anyway. The Isla Nublar restoration challenge made me rip my fucking hair out on harder difficulties but damn it was fun.

We don't use the word "fun" around here.

>giga has less rating than the fucking trex
>raptors have the same rating as the dilophosaur
>all the herbivores have shit ratings and they even dislike each other so tryke reskin 1 cannot coexist with tryke clone 2
>gameplay of a mobile game with all those unnecesary times

JPOG is better

People who care about dinosaurs call them "aquatic dinosaurs".

No, they do not refer to the lizards in the ocean or the sky as "dinosaurs"

Yeah they do. They just do so in a casual context, because this isn't a college lecture.

Ive been wondering about this and I am shocked they are making third one. I remember being super hyped for JWE and even preordered it. I was so hyped I was even on the forums making suggestions that I am pretty sure they implemented in the sequel. I love the first game but I am still super fucking salty how bare bones it is. They kept adding dinosaurs but barely did anything to make them interesting and despite being a park builder they didnt have any decorations to make the park look good until the very last update and even then it was extremely bare minimum.

I want a cool good looking park with cool dinos to keep how is that hard to make a game on?

>>714834893

How is JWE2 better than the first? I havent played it because I am still salty from the first game

Yeah, it's alright.
The first few posts have it right: >>714834258 >>714834893 >>714835307
It's significantly better than the 1st game (paleo-botany, aquatic dinosaurs, flying dinosaurs, weather), but it's still not a better park management game than say Zoo Tycoon, but it might be better than Genesis at this point - if only for roster size. It's literally on sale on steam *right now* for less than 5 dollars, which is a STEAL of a deal. Get it, play it, by the time you're done with it the new one will be on sale (the new one introduces breeding) and you'll be able to decide if you like it enough to continue.

I remember being weirded out that OG only had like three "rides" in it.
Felt like there were more locked behind research or something.

To no ones surprise, the new movie is fucking terrible.
