Walhart is misrepresented in Awakening. The intro the chapter 19 is fucked.

Excellus's line here directly leads into Walhart's rant. So it's important that they keep the "็ฅžใฎๅฆ‚ใ่ป็•ฅ". Some form of "god-like strategy". Not god-like as in amazing but actual divinity deity.
> ๆˆ‘ใฏ็ฅžใ‚’่ถ…ใˆใฆใ„ใ่€…
>Who is greater than the Gods?
This is why he's pissed. He's greater than the gods but in the ENG it's about Excellus's intellect instead of the deity part. And this is really significant because of Fire Emblem Gaiden. Walhart is a descendant of Alm. Alm killed the gods(well just Duma)that ruled and made humanity the rulers in place of the gods. Walhart is following in Alm's footsteps. He's more extreme with the conqueror part but still So going ahead a few lines
>Well,Excellus, that seems to contradict your last statement. What say you?
>ใ‚†ใˆใซใ€ ็ฅžๅฆ‚ใใจๅŒ็ญ‰ใฎ่ป็•ฅใชใฉๆˆ‘ใฏๅฟ…่ฆใจใ—ใฆใŠใ‚‰ใฌใ€‚
>ใ‚จใ‚ฏใ‚ปใƒฉใ‚คใ€ใใฎ็ญ–ใฏ็„ก็”จใ€‚
In the JP he's saying Excellus's plan is worthless. For Walhart a "divine strategy" or tactic just isn't needed. It's not about no one appreciating Excellus's intellect. Walhart is pissed that Excellus would even imply that such a strategy is necessary,
>ใƒดใ‚กใ€ใƒดใ‚กใƒซใƒใƒซใƒˆ้™›ไธ‹!?ไฝ•ใ‚’่ก€่ฟทใฃใŸใ“ใจใ‚’!?
Excellus is asking what set Walhart off. He doesn't understand why Walhart seeming losing it. And you can't blame Excellus because he was just saying the strategy was really good. Yet Walhart is talking about surpassing gods. But to us it makes more sense assuming you know the connection to Alm. The ENG's

>...My-my master! I assure you, I meant no offense! I only celebrate achievements in your service, master. To your glory
Completely misses that. Instead of being confused, Excellus just thinks Walhart is offended that Excellus feels unappreciated. Sure the Alm stuff could be me reading too deep and Walhart just hates the idea of sitting in a castle doing nothing. But the ENG's changes aren't necessary. They misread the scene it's not about Excellus disrespecting Walhart, it's about Walhart's ideology. Which is also misunderstood
>Glory is won on the battlefield! Glory is meeting your enemy's eyes and watching the hope drain away with his life...Glory is not won holed up in a castle with plots and cowardly schemes. And I'll be dead before I let some dynast farm lord take today's glory in my stead

ๅ‹ๅˆฉ seems to get translated as glory. But it should be more like victory or conquest. He not talking about glory, he's talking about how he wins. Beat them until they're unrecognizable. Display overwhelming and teach his enemies that there is no route to victory against him. The 2nd EN line there gets the idea somewhat but everything else is wrong. He doesn't talk about cowardly schemes, nor anything about a dynast farm lord taking his glory. He's not even talking about killing his enemies actually. It's about breaking them down, destroying their will to resist. It's completely different and this all stems from changing Excellus's lines. Making it about his intellect and having him apologize for insulting Walhart. Having Excellus bring up glory(ๅ‹ๅˆฉ) instead of Walhart. Just F- work

I never said. I think that is stated in-game at that guy, Robin's dad but not in this scene. It's only about Walhart and his ideology.

Well done OP, it's very important that we get the nuance translation right in this children's game made for babies that everyone forgot about 10 years ago

See I appreciate your reply but there's no way I got the nuances across. I just got the broad shit that any toddler would get. Except the translators. Their minds are alien to me.

I screwed up the reply twice, do over.
I never said Walhart invaded to stop Gima. That's not in the scene at all. However Robin's dad says something to that effect I believe but that's a couple chapters later. And not the focus of the scene I'm talking about.
