I know MK is supposed to be an evergreen title but I really don't see people sticking around for this. Playing this game I was actually bored while racing, which is not something I could say for any other Mario Kart game. If even I, someone who's only a casual, gets bored playing this game, is it really going to have the longevity that 8D had?
I honestly don't even know if DLC would save it at this point, a lot of the flaws that make it boring are baked in.

I felt the same way about smash ultimate and that still managed to last a long time.
