Even if the war stopped right now, Ukraine is a doomed state. They've lost 10m people since the end of the USSR, almost all the women have fled the country and will never return, almost every able bodied man over 30 is dead, wounded, maimed or knows no life other than war. They lack the manpower to keep the country running, and what few men are left are young adults with no knowledge or experience. And the war isn't anywhere near over, a lot more will die.
Unlike what that headline is saying, there is no way Africans or Indians will show up to work on a shithole like Ukraine. They're already picky about which western Europe nations they will move to. It just won't happen, they have options. Way better options.
The people who are going to live in a post-war Ukraine will be ethnical Russians.

You underestimate exactly how behind the times the Russian Empire was prior to the USSR happening. Up until the turn of the 20th century, serfdom was not only legal, the vast majority of people in Russia were serfs. London had underground train stations before Russia had a second train line.
The time gap between the the Russian Empire getting their shit pushed in in WW1/the October Revolution/the Civil War and the Soviet Union obtaining a nuclear weapon was 32 years.
I hate communism, I'm not praising it. But I don't think any other system of governance would have achieved that.
