It’s 2025 and people are still seething about Denuvo to this day and insisting their anger isn’t about wanting the game for free. They even come up with blatant lies about it ruining performance or bricking PCs. Get fucked, poorfags. I hope Denuvo is here to stay

Name a single good game that has Denuvo.
Anonymous No.714880573 [Report]

I forgot, how much do they have to pay to keep denuvo on their games? And there's also the 5 devices bs, is it more expensive? Is it really worth it after 3 months? A year?

My anger is about it affecting game performance while providing nothing of value to either the people using it nor the customer who subjects themselves to it.

I have a 4070 and i9 with 64 gigs of ram.

I know for a fact that Denuvo shortens the lifetime of a PC and can damage weaker ones, if it really did nothing then removing Denuvo wouldn't be such a massive selling point.

I refuse to buy anything with Denuvo out of respect for poorfags and on principle

"/v/" doesn't like it, there are a few reasons you see such contrarian things on this board.

Some people with sunk cost who have been damaging their PC with Denuvo games and want to feel better about it so they mock those who don't, and some people who are bored so they make an argument knowingly in bad faith for entertainment to watch people get mad.
Maybe they're being paid to post these things.

There's few places on the internet people will loudly proclaim they are poor. The anonymity helps. That said I've seen some piracy begging communities behave the same way.

Yes, it is worth it. There aren't millions of browns lowering the game's perceived value and it forces the mently ill consoomers to spend money.
It wouldn't exist and keep growing if it weren't successful.

All costs associated with it are offset easily by a very slight increase in the initial sales.

For a big game, Denuvo costs about 10% of what they spent in DEI consulting on Concord, for example. It's a no brainer

Do you want to be able to play your games whenever you want no matter what happens, even if all the internet is gone?
With Denuvo, you can't!
Anonymous No.714888648 [Report]
>>714877240 (OP)
Most games that use it I have no interest in anyways so I'm not really bothered by them not getting cracked. All the games that use it are overpriced as fuck too so I doubt it is preventing any sales losses. Most pirates are cheap or poor and wouldn't buy an 80$ AAA game.

If you put Denuvo in your game I will ignore it until I can pirate it. If you launch it without I'll buy it instead. But if it has some either kind of DRM so that I can't just copy the folder around without Steam then I'll refund it. I'm not giving you money for you to stealth patch it for Denuvo/EGS/some anti-mod bullshit at a later date. It's happened to me twice and so never again.

I'm just not gonna buy the game. Gorillions of games to play.
Anonymous No.714891114 [Report]
It punishes people that buy the games. Denuvo servers crashed one time and I couldn't play my highschool dating sim (persona 5) for two days!
Think of how horribly unfair that is to me! The consumer!
