By realizing the show took Season 2 Darwin II Watterson out into the backyard and slugged the back of his head because holy shit Darwin's season 3 personality is flatter than Teri's body and the entire dynamic between Gumball and him is ruined.

I already complained about season 3 but I think it honestly does start there.
Not even complaining about circle eyes but the lighting tone of the season is so shallow compared to season 2. Everything feels like it's on the same light color and brightness. It's visually boring to me because with season 2 I never really felt like I knew what I was going to get in lightning and color, but with season 3 it's been generally the same the entire time.
And I think the bodies are animated differently too? Something feels off besides coloring and I think it has to be that.
