Once the honeymoon phase of 3D died down, you really do realize just how fucking ugly they look and play compared to the timeless and stylish appeal of 2D.

Let's be honest, SNES games are really ugly. Genesis games looked way better.

I don't think anyone at the time debated early 3D didn't measure up to 2D during its heights. It was massive in opening up how games would be played, though.
