The most overrated game of all time
Prey is better in literally every single way. Even Bioshock is better (especially 2). This has nothing to do with how old it is. Deus Ex mogs the shit out of this slop.

Bioshock is more fun in every way and has better designed levels but is too oversimplified and the writing is preachy and definitely worse.

bad things in prey that system shock 2 does better:
terrible weapon variety
terrible enemy variety
getting neuromod resources from killing enemies because they people will cry if they can't level up from killing enemies
time freezing when you hack things so there's zero risk (and it's free so there's no cost either)
excessive amounts of worthless items that need the recycler to be turned into useful things, who finds dragging all that shit back to it to be fun?
probably more but i've forgotten since the last time i played prey was in 2021
