The Mario Kart World discord is talking about it because the owners of the server have been contacted by Nintendo's legal team. They were "advised" that unofficial community hubs are, as per their TOS, only suitable for DISCUSSING the game, not for circumventing or altering the matchmaking process of their games.

There is another project that had to deal with this called "Pretendo", which is a replacement for the Nintendo Network on Wii U and 3DS, but the reason they got around that legal issue is because they don't actually use Nintendo's servers. All their matchmaking happens on their own servers.

Alright I'll be the one to say it. Mkw is basically what spm was after ttyd. They took an established sub series and tried to deviate it more while adding gimmicks but taking away substance. Only difference there's no charm to mkw, its sterile.

Big monstie huntie fan here since the very first game on the psp. Yes, yes it is bad. Lets put the Massive perfomance issues aside and discuss the actual game. Theres barely any content. They dripfeed you the content through its shitty long pajeet story with movie crap. They gave the idea that hunters could all meet each other in the wild, that was also a lie, can only meet in the town. They later said you could gather and hunt random crap with up to 3 buddies. That was a mid lie, sure you cangroup with them but the connection is so bad. Worlds was by far better. The graphics are also a cap. Worlds was better. This one forces a bunch of dithering and garbage to make it look good but its all a massive eye strain slop because it feels like ai made the whole shit. The game is easier than ever. Part of the fun in the early titles was that you truly needed to ready your backpack with everything you would need. Now its all streamlined as fuck. You dont even need to buy or make pickaxes or bugnets or fishing bait nothing. You have a magical all in one tool thats always on you. Monsters are easier than ever. The attack moves are garbage, they're slow as shit even on the hardened monsters die in 5 minutes. The only way to make hunts harder is to use the shittiest noob outfits and weapons. Which is exactly what they did with the betas. Once you get the best gear an "extreme" monster is just a glorified punching bag. No content. There's barely any content once you beat the shitty story, so if you skipped all the movie pajeet cutscene story shit you're shit out of luck. They're basically drip feeding content whereas previous titles always had good updates that were free. Oh yeah PAID TITLE UPDATES. back in previous titles they had tons of events to get cool free shit. Now the tiny few events they have the free shit they give is garbage and ugly while they sell you all the cool shit.
It is by far the greediest, jewiest, shittiest, and sloppiest title ever.

To this day I still have no clue why NDS niggers keep trying to pretend the normal track choice on multiplayer doesn't give you 3 laps.
In the first place the bug was it not giving you 3 laps and only giving you intermissions, they fixed that bug and even then random still gives you 3 laps 90% of the time because they want you playing knockout tour for intermissions instead.

That's right the entirety of Low Rank is just a tutorial, the REAL game only starts on High Rank and this isn't even hyperbole... the game doesn't generate monsters of random strength levels nor does the game actually swap between the Fallow and Plenty periods until you reach High Rank. Meaning you have finished the "main" story.

Until then the game is dictating just about anything based on story progression.

It probably has the worst progression curve of any Monster Hunter because of it.
