It's technically the sequel to FF12 and I remember it being surprisingly fleshed out with content for a DS game, so I'd say go for it if you want more of the cast. No voiced dialogue at all obviously but there are FMV's which are pretty nice. It plays like an RTS and you can call in Espers to help you fight battles - the gambit system is carried over and each character can still have unique abilities, weapons, armor etc...
I thought it was neat, but it's a DS game so go in expecting that.
