I have no idea if there are collections at all, I just spewed meme lingo, yes I download 1 by 1, I lurk the thread on vg sometimes and only ever download stuff that catches my eye

Everything official for the game has been utterly eclipsed by fans, pretty much nobody plays it for the base game's levels.
It's basically a modding platform.

It's better to look through them and pick what stands out, anyway. If you like a certain map in a wad you should track down more of the work of the map makers. It's the best way to grow a catalogue.
There's an ungodly amount of doom content and a lot of the community built ones have a mix of stinkers and bangers so unless you're addicted you will eventually burn out.
You will grow old before you run out of doom to play.
