It's better than just ending it outright at the first impossible hurdle because you still want to see if everything after the fact is beatable. PvZ2 challenge runs that are solo would be so boring if they just immediately ended in Ancient Egypt or Pirate Seas even with maxed out plants simply because one single level was unbeatable. The glitches to bypass it are also as fun as the challenge.
