In terms of video game history, Human Revolution might be more significant than we realize. I remember the demo or some pre-release build leaked early. People were shocked to find that it played more like the original Deus Ex instead of being a dumbed-down cover shooter. It proved that there was a way bigger market for immersive sims (HR came out before anyone really used that term) than the "We want the Call of Duty audience" tone of most 7th gen games would have you believe.

But the reality is that will only really cause more mass firings really, there wont be a big sudden crash, you will just see less and less big budget games coming out as time goes on
