I hate /v/ contrarians so much. He was like this for one game, and less than one year in real life. Insomniac hated his personality WHILE they were developing the game. That's why it had an immediate pivot. Almost all Ratchet """"fans"""" who are like this are leaching their frustration of other mascot platformers onto Ratchet. You're Sonic and Mario fans thinking you're in good company here. There are three other prime R&C games on the PS2 where he has his non-asshole personality that are all considered classics in their own way.
