god of war 1 was a chore. i forced myself to finish it like six or eight months ago. even with 2 and 3 being rated much higher, i couldn't bring myself to even get very far into them past the first 30 mins. great art direction, idea, and style for its time, but God has it aged so poorly.

You got to understand that the vast majority of neonu/v/ is utter fucking shit at vidya and never played beyond Mortal and it's true that you can get by with mashing square like a drooling retard. The moment you play on Spartan or God/Titan you'll die without proper combos, juggling and magic usage.

DMC1 is one of my favorite games.

I played GoW1 a couple times. I don't hate it. I just wish it felt a little faster paced sometimes. Everything about the game is designed pretty well for the most part. I just wish it felt like you could do stuff faster as you improve. Even just something like opening chests starts to feel monotonous, it slows the game down while not really adding anything to the experience. A turbo mode or something probably would've been fun.
