Not good, aside from the guns. I'm playing it cause it requires no brain power and there are pretty lights, colors and boom-booms.
>Nomi Ai
Not really a game, but that company sure is playing me.
>Grandia 3
Like 20 minutes at most, basically only the part where Ryudo meets Elena, and then gets his cunt kicked in by Millenia. I'm off work tomorrow and probably should play some more games before bed. But youtube is sucking my soul and I feel fucking unmotivated and depressed.
Botw, Tetris 99, nine sols
Finally getting around to finishing the last month of Metaphor Refantazio; Iโve generally enjoyed it but I did take a break when the pacing slowed down. Still playing Nightreign runs with randos or with the friends I donโt get to see in-person because theyโre all in other cities these days.

>>714940817 (OP)I promised to myself I'll finish Outward before I pick up another game, but me and a friend decided to get A Way Out and It Takes Two, so for now comfy co-op games are on the menu.
>>714946928>spoilerThere are some player model mods. Most well-known is the Kobold one, not sure how up to date it is.
>compare to MinecraftIf you have a touch of autism, it's better in every way. Properly fleshed out mechanics, survival mechanics that actually mean something, seasons that affect you and the world, crop rotations, infinitely better building system. Only downside, which is entirely dependent on what you want from vidya games, is it's a much more involved process to progress. For example, instead of just smelting ore and placing the ingots in a grid. You have to find specific deposits of ore, as you can't just strip-mine. Heat it in the crucible, which requires the clay molding, pour in into either the pickaxe mold or in an ingot, both which require the clay-molding, then use your anvil to shape it afterwards. And blacksmithing is one of the most well-developed mechanics in the game.
Like I said, if you are patient and don't mind spending quite a bit of time on a singular project, it's so much more fun than Minecraft.

>What do you mean? One of my biggest issues with Minecraft has always been how the combat and exploration mechanics have always been largely vestigial with limited rewards, challenges, or environments. And how you not only dont have to engage much with the world outside what's immediately in front of you at any given time but that you can do you forever in complete safety regardless of your game mode of difficulty setting.
>>714948920I'd suppose Vintage Story does it well, if I'm understanding you right. Since the seasons change, when Winter arrives, it will kill all crops and remove most animals. Meaning if you didn't prepare food, you're going to starve. You can set lives in the configs if you'd like to add to the tension. Also the cold affects you, too. There's 'Temporal Storms', which summons the main enemies in the game, Drifters, and you can change how often or how difficult it is. Effectively a 'raid'. Something quite small is there are ruins scattered about and if you dig under them, sometimes you can find a book which details the Lore of the world. Sadly, there's only one 'dungeon' in the game with a boss at the end.
You'll definitely have to explore the world, because certain recipes call for certain items only found in specific parts of the world. Even finding Copper nuggets require you to run around the environment, looking at the ground for nuggets, marking the locations on your map, and coming back later with a pickax.

It's like motherfuckers have no concept of exploring things they actually like or even something as simple as a hobby they enjoy.
>>714946928It is a million times better than minecraft as far as survival gameplay, worldbuilding and immersion are concerned
The combat sucks, there is a decent amount of bugs and the story is unfinished, but these are clear placeholders.
It is seeing frequent updates and rapidly improving, I highly recommend it
To give you an idea, A few weeks ago my friends and I embarked on the tedious quest to obtain a 50L barrel of every distilled alcohol in the game (there are 20+ distilled alcohols)
It has been some of the most mind-numbing grinding of my life, requiring exploration of far away lands, farming on an industrial scale (each barrel requires thousands of crops) the design and construction of complex grain milling machinery and countless hours of fruit-pressing and moonshining.
Distilled Mead and Cassava Vodka in particular might as well be worth their weight in gold
All of this for completely useless meme liquors that offer no benefits whatsoever.
Only a game as good as this would motivate me to work this hard towards such a useless goal
>>714940817 (OP)Finished RF GoA before so I had an itch for more town building shit. Played Gogo Town on a rec.
I still technically something left to do but I unlocked all the upgrade tiers so I'm almost done. Still in early access, so it could use a little more, and maybe a bit of challenge since once you get workers to do delivery and trash collection and shit your job mostly just becomes placing buildings and double checking shops sometimes to make sure they're getting all the materials they need from the farms and stuff. Otherwise, I appreciate how quick and easy the town building is. I'm usually pretty fucking lazy in building games, if I put something down then that's where it stays, but I even bothered to rearrange some of the pre-placed stuff and change the terrain a bit to be more beach-y. Rather satisfying on that front.
Also played some Umamusume like everyone else but I don't actually care about the fucking horse girls themselves, the career mode just seemed fun for a bit, think I'm pretty much worn out on that already

>>714954632I'm not very good at shilling things. It's a creature collector combat game with a gorrilion different monsters, passive abilities, spells, classes etc and fusion mechanics to squeeze even more nonsense into a team. The whole game's about creating an insanely broken strategy and optimizing it to the limit so you can turn 0 OTK every enemy you meet. And then there are bosses with their own weird mechanics that you need to play around, and sometimes a random enemy monster will also have an ability that shuts you down so you need to think of ways to get around any niche counter that shows up.
Expect to sink hundreds of hours into the game and still only unlock 50% of the content. If this doesn't sound fun congratulations you're not autistic.

>>714955398I'm not actually very far in so I'm still in the "pick the monsters I think look cool" phase and it works, but later on you'll probably need to be a bit more optimal. >>714955726Nice, those goblins can get pretty nuts. Almost every time I play I end up with a bleed/congeal team unless I force myself to try something else, love it when status ailments work in rpgs.
>>714955185I don't say this lightly but FF9 with the Moguri mod just might be the perfect rpg. It's my favourite game of all time that's for sure.
I've a massive problem, I love strategy games. I love systematically breaking down an enemies economy, forcing them to stretch themselves thin by applying just the right amount of pressure on their bases. But I don't advance on them. I let them set the tempo, just another small pleasure as they're forced to cum to me. And I take whatever they dish out.
A slow steady game of attrition that shouldn't work, but it does. They have to cum, because that's the only way to win. Its like sex. They blow their load after building it up and then when they're spent I take another piece of them away. All the while I've not once cum to them. Just continuously amassing a monstrous force that I keep for their final moment. The climax if you will.
Finally after they've whittled down to their last drops of resources I do cum. I've let them cum at me when fully stocked and at their best. And now they receive me in my entirety, but I feel nothing. Their hope, vigor, and enthusiasm is gone. There's no fun, no struggle, all their effort and resistance that made the exchange stimulating has passed. Now they're just wide open. A hole that I didn't dig into them but they dug out of themselves. The only joy is that by simply being present and giving them an opposition that never lets up they ruin themself.
Does anyone else get more joy out of losing? The whole not about the destination but the journey. Im never satisfied, gotten to point where I'll let people win just so they keep their eager zest.

>>714956908The party splits get really annoying. You are always cutting off to another part of the world to play what Garnet is doing, or having ATE to have scenes for some random shit.
The Division 2 has been understandably written off by most of the looter-shooter community (and the gaming community at large).
I enjoyed The Division 2 as a simple $3 cover shooter through the story-difficulty missions from level 1 to 40, slowly making my way through a 1:1 downtown DC,
but as soon location persistence upon log off/log on was removed in the endgame,
I felt a bit disincentivized to wander around like I did previously.
I can stomach the endgame loot cycle and SHD level stuff, but the game loses a lot of its charm by undermining the decently-crafted open world map.
As it is now, I'll stop playing in the west side of town, but almost always log back in inside of the White House.
I wish there was an toggleable option to preserve Control Point capture state past level 40.
Just a bit unfortunate that you give players a taste of this pre-40, only to take it away forever in the endgame.
