Making AAA coomer gaas is actually pretty stupid. Unless your game is actually good everyone is going to treat it like disposable media and lose interest once they stop thinking with their dick, you would have made more money by just selling a full priced game and tricking people before they come to their senses.

Player counts are irrelevant. If you make a coomer game like this, what happens at first is you get a huge playerbase. In this case, 260k. Most people get put off by grinding, but you have pay to win mechanics. Almost everyone leaves, but then almost all the people left engage with these pay to win mechanics. Now you have a game that has 10k concurrent players, which is not the same as DAP. Your DAP is going to be higher, and your unique player count higher still. That means you have over 50k people still playing your game, a large amount of them monetized at this point. Your game now makes you millions of dollars for a long period of time.

Gacha games win coz the characters look and are desirable off the bat unlike Nexon slop.
Meanwhile, in Nexon slop, cosmetics drops are the end-game, and those drop less than top-end gear and, at times, only during events.
Gameplay is serviceable, but as a means for grinding the characters and cosmetics, it becomes pure fucking torture.
